How to Prep in 11 days
It’s time for some serious LSAT study time. You need to get the most out of your study time, not just knock out practice tests. So, how should you approach these last few days?
Timed Tests:
Test your skills under realistic timing conditions. This will build your stamina… conditioning yourself for the real deal Dec. 7. But, don’t take more than 2 full-length practice LSAT exams each week. You will need to save energy and time to work on targeted skills practice.
Timed Sections:
You do want to take timed sections, focusing on groups of questions or games. Don’t neglect to analyze those questions to see what you did right and where you may have gone wrong. Focus on your where your weaknesses are and work through the difficulties methodically. This will give you encouragement as you gain competence in these targeted areas.
Skills Practice:
Use the results of the full-length exams to target specific areas in which you should focus more skills practice. Skills practice time is not timed. During this targeted practice, you will use your analysis of the practice testing to grow your competence within specific areas of the LSAT.
Balance:
Are you close to your target score? If so, focus on doing more timed practice where you will strive for consistent success. Work towards NOT erring due to carelessness. Try to balance your work and school days with times where you can focus just on the LSAT. Quality of practice time is much better than quantity of practice time!
If you are further away from your target score, you’ll want to do a mixture of timed tests, sections and skills practice…about 50/50.
Oh, and do take care of yourself. Wearing yourself with late nights of study up to the test date is not the best way to approach the LSAT test day…and have a GREAT Thanksgiving!
