Make the most of these 2 weeks of LSAT Prep
With very little prep time left, you must make the most of your study time. You shouldn’t merely work through practice tests. So, how should you approach these last prep days?
Timed Tests:
Test your skills under realistic timing conditions. This will build your stamina… conditioning yourself for the real deal on Sept. 27. But since the time is short now, do not more than 2 full-length practice LSAT exams each week. The full-length exams are important, but leave yourself time and energy work on targeted skills practice.
Skills Practice:
Analyze the full-length practice tests and then use the results to target specific areas where you should focus more skills practice. This skills practice time is not timed. During this targeted practice, you will use your analysis of the practice testing to grow your competence within specific areas of the LSAT.
Timed Sections:
Take timed sections. Focus on groups of questions or games and do not forget to analyze the questions to see what you did right and where you may have gone wrong. Focus on your where your weaknesses are and methodically work through these problem areas. You will be encouraged as you gain understanding in these areas and you see fewer errors in these targeted areas.
Choose Quality Prep over Quantity of Prep:
Ask yourself, “Are you close to your target score?” If you are close to your target then focus on doing more timed practice. This will push you towards consistency. Work towards NOT erring due to carelessness. Balance your work and school days with times where you can focus just on the LSAT. Quality of practice time is much better than quantity of practice time!
Are you further away from your target score than you had hoped to be at this point?
If so, you’ll want to do a mixture of timed tests, sections and skills practice…about 50/50.
