Atlanta is often referred to as “Hotlanta”, Some say it’s the weather that dictates the nickname, but you could easily make the case for it being an incredible city for nightlife; one of the fastest growing food cities; or even for having an early return to legal field job growth after a widespread national economic downturn.  Whatever the reason Atlanta IS HOT!  It is home to the busiest airport in the world: Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International; as well as Home Depot, Delta Airlines, Coca-Cola and AT&T amongst other Fortune 500 companies. Atlanta also House A Nuclear Regulatory Committee for the South Region of the USA and the CDC (Center for disease control).  It has a ton of media influence as well, with Tyler Perry studios headquartered there; as well as Turner Broadcasting Systems, and a massive influence from Cox Communications.  If you like Zombies, the hit TV show The Walking Dead is also centered in Atlanta and the outlying areas of the Metropolis. But, you won’t have to be a zombie to get through LSAT Prep…Atlanta based Get Prepped Tutors are excellent resources keeping it lively and helping you to grab the highest possible score whether you stay in Atlanta for school or pick another area.  If you are staying in Atlanta after your LSAT Prep, you might consider the following schools (to match up with your exceptional LSAT score):

Emory University

You’ll probably need at least a 166 LSAT score to guarantee admittance to Emory, a consistently top 25 Law school on all the lists.  That score’s achievable with the right LSAT Prep.  Atlanta based Emory University considers itself quite a progressive school, highlighting it’s work to help the Guantanamo Bay detainees, and citing its heavy Women’s Feminist movement work (Feminism and legal theory project) as well as a host of human rights projects, as a good reason why Emory can boast a competence in bridging the gap between real world legal practice and school/classroom theory. The University was recently named to the “New Ivy league schools” notable list by Newsweek. The campus is set in the Druid Hills area about 6 miles outside of downtown Atlanta, and while it sounds a bit archaic and draconian, based on its location, the campus is high-tech and built for students to excel. The school is consistently touted as being heavily underrated and has produced a large amount of distinguished alumni in the years it has operated.  Amongst its alumni Emory Law counts: Facundo Bacardi and Kenneth Cole of their respective name brands; TV personality Judge Hackett; Bernice King (daughter of Martin Luther King, also an Atlanta based figurehead) and Leah Ward Sears, former Chief Justice of the Georgia Supreme Court.

University of Georgia (Athens)

No slouch either with regards to ranking or need for a great LSAT score: to get into the University of Georgia School of Law you’ll need to exceed a 164 LSAT score.  That should be an easy task with the right LSAT Prep.  Atlanta is about 75 miles from the Athens, GA based campus of the University of Georgia; that’s where Get prepped has a distinct advantage for the student, as we have tutors throughout the region, able to meet with LSAT Prep students all over Georgia and we have several locations for classroom style LSAT Prep.  Atlanta is just one of the locations that serves the Athens based students. It’s interesting to note that The University of Georgia School of Law has one of the lowest total tuition costs and one of the highest median graduate income levels of any law school in the United States: by all accounts an impressive reason to consider attending the school.  There have been some impressive Law School Alumni as well: Frank Hanna III, CEO of Hanna Capital; Eugene Talmadge (4 time Georgia Governor); Robert Benham, the first African American to serve on the Georgia Supreme Court; “Sonny” Seiler, the owner of the famous Georgia Bulldog “Uga” and famous Savannah, GA attorney, not to mention the very charismatic Atlanta Housewives’ Phaedra Parks. Consider that less than 25% of the (just over) 3,000 yearly applicants get into the School of Law at the University of Georgia, and you’ll be eager to get started on your LSAT Prep to ensure a spot in the prestigious school.
